New Ilana-matic!

Hey everyone!
I've been calling my animatics "Ilana-Matics" yknow...get it? 'Cuz that's my name?
....No? Well...anyway..

Here is version 16. No sound added.
Please note: Yellow indicates classical music. Blue indicates dubstep.
Purple indicates a delightful combination of the two.

  1. Hey Illana- I think you're doing a great job with the emotions and facial expressions. My first impression of this, though, is that it is long. You could tell the story in less time, and not lose anything, and save time on animating. I really felt like it started dragging and it took a while to build up, but since the build up took so long, the actual fighting wasn't as satisfying. Cut the build up, cut out some unneccessary scenes if it doesn't add to the story, and you're good. Also, at 2:38, I am really frustrated with the pose of the conductor. His line of action is all wrong for that motion. It's an "n" shape when it should be "u" shaped. http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/uploaded_images/pbanimation07-749469.jpg look at the second image of tom and jerry. the line of action for hitting someone needs to accentuate each other, the force is not two separate characters, it's one character and the impact merges them with the force (if that makes sense). so the characters need to have lines that show the downward force of the hit without create an awkward clash of lines. So if the hittee is a "u" shape, currently, the hitter needs to flow into that and be upward instead of pointing downward. Man i wish I could be in person and just draw for you because I feel like I'm doing a bad job. But if you have any questions, you know where to find me. -Janine
